downloded clothes and hairstyles and objects and fences from the website that only require the sims 2 base game. they dont require mesh's or expansion packs and they don't work. i have no big computer knowledge and am using a macbook. i have no expansion packs and have enabled custom content. what can i do to make them work because some do and some don't?The sims 2 downloads from the sims resource don't work?
Hair will require a mesh, unless it is just a very basic recolour of a Maxis hairstyle. Check the page again. Most clothing also requires a mesh.
What format are you downloading the files in? Are you downloading them as sims2pack files? If so you have to double-click on them to install them into your Downloads folder. You will get a message saying the files have been installed if it has been done correctly.
