I really can't afford to pay that amount of money for a membership.

Don't do that. TSR is crap; it doesn't encrypt passwords, puts tracking software on its downloads and hacks free sites. They might as well change the name to The Sims Monopoly.

You can't unless you share with someone else who has a free membership. And that really doesn't work because TSR tracks how many IP addresses log on using the same paid membership user name and will have it deactivated if there are too many. I think it's unfair to pay too, but I just use the regular TSR membership that you don't have to pay for, though it is limiting.Does anyone know where I can go to get a free The Sims Resource membership?
