Because i downloaded loads of stuff for free on the sims resource and they came on my sims game but it totally messed up my computor.

I download things from there all the time to get the custom content that comes with it. There is a virus called the girl doll dressed virus that can mess it up, so after installing exchange items check installed content on the launch menu and get rid of any items labelled girl doll dressed, nkd, or project. They can mess up your game.
It also has to do with how much you download and of what. All I have is some furniture, hair and clothes. MY game runs a bit slower, but thats all. If it messed up your entire computer maybe you should only download a few things.

Probly ive downloaded stuff from there never had a problem although ive never had a problem with any download ive ever madee
